MANGO BUTTER: Is the main ingredient in our Naked After Ink Tattoo Butter it contains vitamin A, an antioxidant that stimulates the skin's natural renewal process. It encourages the skin to produce new, healthy skin cells, improves the skin's texture and elasticity. This is the reason why our Tattoo butter glides on so easily making for an effortless tattoo session and encourages a quick recovery with less scabbing.
KOKUM BUTTER: Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, Kokum Butter is derived from the fruit of India's native Kokum tree, and harbors antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
COCOA BUTTER: Due to its fatty acid content, it deeply hydrates the skin and it prevents the skin from drying and peeling. It also nourishes the skin due to the oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids in its composition, all known for preventing dry skin.
SHEA BUTTER: This product has been ethically produced and sustainably refined and sourced through fair trading. Shea butter is used to help moisturize, nourish, and soothe the skin.
COCONUT OIL: Rich in short and medium-chain fatty acids, Coconut oil renown for its healing properties. It's one of the most commonly-used oils. A study conducted in 2019 had shown using coconut oil lessens the chances of developing eczema by increasing the amount of a protein called filaggrin. Filaggrin is an essential protein that helps keep the skin hydrated and pH balanced. Some believe that having too little of this protein may be one cause of eczema. The study concluded that virgin coconut oil could be useful in treating eczema.
As these researchers note, coconut oil also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
ALOE VERA: Commonly known for its ability to soothe and help heal sunburn because of its antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory properties, it helps with common skin issues such as eczema, acne, dry skin, psoriasis and much more.
SEA BUCKTHORN OIL: This oil is responsible for giving the caramel orange tinge to our tattoo butter, it has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine to help heal small cuts and skin problems. It is a power house of nutrients with over 190 bio active substances. Rich in fatty acids, its a fantastic emollient to help hydrate dry dull skin. With a wealth of Vitamin A, E, K, to help fight free radicals, lighten skins appearance and helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
MEADOWFOAM OIL: Consists of 98% fatty acids and When Applied to skin meadowfoam seed oil acts as an emollient and seals in moisture, whilst balancing our natural sebum levels, keeping our skin from becoming too oily and too dry.
MACADAMIA NUT OIL: A lightweight oil that is absorbed easily leaving no greasy residue on the skin. It is one of the highest sources of Palmitoleic acid which is an excellent healing and restoring fatty acid - particularly suited for aged or damaged skin. It is also high in Oleic acid giving it great moisturizing properties for dry and sensitive skin
JOJOBA OIL: Is renowned for its amazing capability of balancing our natural sebum produced by our sebaceous glands, and is full of nutrients like Vitamin E and B, as well as antioxidants and minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, which all nourish and protect skin.
CALENDULA WAX: A vegan alternative to beeswax, calendula wax is produced from a small desert shrub native to Mexico and Southern Texas. It also spreads easier and is absorbed by the skin easier than Beeswax. It is an excellent humectant, works wonders for moisturizing dry skin, and is incredibly soothing
VITAMIN E: is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from damage throughout your body. It's found in our sebum (skin oil), which creates a natural barrier to keep moisture in your skin. Vitamin E helps to fight free-radicals that oxidize skin cells and can lead to premature aging. Vitamin E has both humectant and emollient properties, meaning it helps draw moisture to the skin – from the environment, or from the middle layer of the skin to the outer layer, and it helps “seal” moisture into the skin, while making it feel softer and smoother.
CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL: contains anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties that enable it to treat irritated skin as well as conditions like acne and eczema.
PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL: has the ability to trigger cellular regeneration, when used topically Patchouli Oil works to regenerate and renew the skin. These healing properties help to reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes, pigmentation and signs of ageing.
JUNIPER ESSENTIAL OIL: With natural antibacterial abilities, juniper berry essential oil is one of the most popular natural remedies for fighting skin irritations
TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL: When used topically, tea tree oil is believed to be antibacterial. Tea tree oil is commonly used to treat acne, athlete's foot, lice, nail fungus and insect bites.
